18 Days of Christmas Giveaways: Day 5 Rebecca Trogner

I can't believe we are 5 days into the 18 Days of Christmas Giveaways! Today is Monday, and some of you might know that on Monday's I like to post Bookish type confessions, you know, share everyone's dirty secrets... Okay, maybe not dirty, but you know, you'll be happy we've stuck with tradition and I am going to welcome Rebecca Trogner to the blog! First she's going to confess, and then we are going to check out her novel, Last Keeper's Daughter!

But first, you'll need to know a few things, like...
The Giveaway Today is:
A $25 Amazon Gift Card
The Rafflecopter Task of the Day:
Follow Rebecca Trogner on Twitter

Don't forget, if you don't have Twitter, you can still be entered to win this giveaway, and all the others, by leaving some blog comment love!

Now onto Rebecca's Confessions!

1. I vividly remember reading Jaws around the age of 12. I was afraid to take a shower for weeks.

2. Since my teens, I've had issues with food. I wasn't overweight, actually I was a great weight, but thought I needed to be thinner, which set me up for a lifetime of yo-yo dieting. When I weite female characters, I bless them with being thin without trying.

3. I eavesdrop on conversations. I've based characters on a small snippet of an overheard conversation.

4. Coffee is my drug of choice.

5. Rejection stings. Bad reviews are more vivid in memory than the good ones. Why is that?

6.  I'm not a snob reader. I'll read anything. Take a gander at my Goodreads shelves and you'll either be shocked or delighted.

7. Some days my mind is hard as concrete and I can't write anything. Other days the words flow so freely that I can't type them fast enough.

8. I'm pantser--no planning or outlining or plotting. My characters take on a life of their own inside my mind.

9. I love to receive books to review. It's like Christmas when am author emails me their book. I cringe when I read reviewer's complain about what a burden it is.

10. Punctuation is a mystery to me. My editor makes me look good. She's an angel.

I think #10 makes us best friends! Now, let's check out Last Keeper's Daughter!

To the outside world, Lily Ayres is the privileged daughter of an old moneyed family. She is young, beautiful, and a talented horsewoman. All of which are enviable qualities, but few know that beneath this thin veneer of societal perfection lies a deeply trouble young woman. For Lily rarely speaks and is incapable of normal human interaction.

Unable to understand why she is this way, Lily further retreats inside herself until memories and suppressed emotions begin to bubble to the surface. Murder, revelations of her family's hidden purpose and dark secrets are revealed as she is thrust into the supernatural world of Krieger Barnes, Vampire King of North America.

i think we all eavesdrop from time to time sometimes even against our want ( some put the phone so loud in teh train you hear everything) and i could imagine how inspiring it could be^^

thank you for the giveaway and teh interview!

  2. Katie O'Sullivan Says:

I read Jaws as a teen too, but my dad never let me or my sisters go see the movie. He said he paid too much for our beach rental to watch us be scared of the ocean. To this day I still haven't watched the whole movie! (which is good, now that I live at the beach full time!)

    Happy Holidays!
