The task of the day:
Simply take a moment to follow Connie
on Twitter, how easy is that?
Now, let’s get on with the show...
Welcome Connie!
Can you describe yourself in five words or less?
Dedicated and focused yet fun-loving.
Can you describe Fairy Proof in five words or less?
Fast read with many twists.
It’s the holiday season, so, what is your favourite holiday
food?
This is a hard question. Since I’m a bit of a junk-food
junkie, I’d say the wonderful bake goods, especially if it has peppermint and
chocolate.
You’re allowed to ask for two books for Christmas and these
very well might be the last books you’ll ever get, what would they be and why?
Oh! This question makes me sad! The last books I’ll ever
get? I guess I would want to make sure I had “sturdy” copies of my favorites: Catcher in the Rye and The Lovely Bones. Yeah, I know, very
different choices, but my absolute favorite reads.
If you had to choose your biggest writing weakness, what
would it be and why?
I don’t know if it’s really a weakness, but if I could
change something about the way I write, I wish I was more of a plotter. Of
course, this just might be a case of the grass being greener on the other side…
When I’m in the middle of a manuscript and not sure where I’m heading – flying
by the seat-of-my-pants – I sometimes wish I had an outline to fall back on.
Can you give us a little teaser from Fairyproof, you know,
something that will grab our attention and make us want to go out and by it
right away?
Monique believes she can turn any man’s head with a
flirtatious smile and an attraction spell, until she meets Daniel, the one man
who’s immune to both.
Where do you see yourself as an author in five years?
Hopefully, still writing books that readers enjoy.
If you could go back and change one thing about Fairyproof
and re-release it, what would it be and why?
The only thing I wish I had done differently would be to
put more descriptive detail into the fairy world. While there is some about a
few given locations, I think I could have gone deeper into setting that world,
and plan to do that in sequential releases.
Now, let’s check out her book and blurb! It looks and sounds
awesome!
When Monique finds out her brother, Kieran, is planning
her future with the one fairy she wants nothing to do with, she seeks refuge in
the human world. Now Kieran fears she will be the next victim in a string of
murdered fairies and is determined to bring her home.
Hiding should be a breeze. She can control any human
with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel
Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.
A year ago, Daniel's fiancée disappeared with the
engagement ring, an Elliot family heirloom. He's ready to move forward with his
life, but his mother's obsession with retrieving the ring makes that
impossible. Then Monique walks into his office to apply for a job.
Daniel and Monique can't deny their attraction, but
will the reason he's Fairyproof
be too much to overcome?
