Welcome to Day Five of the 13 Days of Christmas Giveaways! Today we have an awesome person who is part of an awesome site!
Read 2 Review is set on bringing you the most update information on novels, reviews, contests, blog tours and blog hops! They strive to get the word out about both traditional, self and indie published. If it’s a great book you can be sure that Read 2 Review will be doing what they can to get the word out.
Also, I cannot lie, without Read 2 Reviews help this contest wouldn’t be as awesome-sauce as it is. Kate has done a tremendous job helping me gather a line-up of wonderful Authors, and has also taken time out of her day, to advertise for me. This contest just wouldn't have been possible without her and Read 2 Review! I owe her a million.
So, since Read 2 Review is still fairly new, and finding a place amongst the great we are doing an interview! Kate has also put together a prize bundle that will knock your socks off!
Welcome Kate from Read 2 Review! Can you tell us a bit about yourself? How about in five words or less.
Kind Hearted, Friendly, Hard Working and Fun
Now why don’t you tell us a bit about your site Read 2 Review? In five words or less, of course J
Up To Date, informative, awesome
Let’s say you’ve been trapped in a well for weeks, you’re starving, all you have are your two favourite books to chomp on, hopefully enough to sustain you until you are rescued. What are these two books worth devouring and why are they your favourites?
HA! Trapped in a well? Where did that come from? LOL! Ok let me think…. I would have to say the two books that I would have are The Complete Chronicles Of Narnia and A Dozen Deadly Roses (Kathy Bennett). These two books are books that I could revisit (ok not if I had eaten them... that would be… WRONG!!!), I would never get bored of them no matter how much I read them and they are books that I instantly fell in love with. Btw this was a really hard question as I have SOOOOO many favourites!
If you were going to eat a bag of chips (you don’t really have to eat the whole bag) what flavour would they be?
Now this is easy – Salted. Don’t ask why but I love crisps/chips with salt. Yum!
So, Read 2 Review is dedicated to bringing the latest information about novels, and not just novel reviews, what was your reasoning for starting such a great and informative site?
Ages ago I was talking to one of my favourite authors and he said that there wasn’t many sites that had covered his books. Me being me was horrified at this so I worked hard and came up with R2R. I wanted to share my love of books and the excitement of new books with the world. I am pleased with what R2R is at the moment and look forward to making it better as I go along!
What has been your biggest hill to overcome on your journey to becoming one of the most up and coming review sites.
Finding a trust worthy team. I know that sounds harsh and trust me I don’t normally say things like that. However I feel that trust is a very important factor of a great team. I think I have that now which makes every day more exciting and I feel it really shows on the site.
Can you tell us a bit about what we can expect to see coming from Read 2 Review in the New Year? Maybe let us in on any great books that might pop up?
Well we have our reading group. We are currently booked solid until September and it looks amazing. We have even had a couple of publishers join us for the group and submit books. We also have the possibility of a convention trip planned where we will be running panels and other items working closely with authors. 2012 should be a fantastic year for R2R and we really hope you will join us on our adventure.
Finally, do you have any words of wisdom for aspiring authors? Maybe a lesson that you’ve learned that you’d like to share.
As an aspiring author myself the best advice I have been given is to write, read, write, read, write some more and read some more. You will always find inspiration from the books you read and once you start writing even if you have to go back and redo like a million times you can guarantee that the bug will bite you and writing will become your life. It has for me!
Thank you for letting me be a part of this awesome event and I wish you a Merry Christmas, I wish you a Merry Christmas, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Now make with the figgy pudding! LOL!

Really cool interview, Avery. Your question about getting trapped in a well makes me wonder if there shouldn't be more edible books out there. Maybe they could print them on fruit leather!
