Wow, I’ve been so lucky to have received this book, another from the talented Author Chelsea Fine!
Check out the beautiful cover and the catchy blurb, oh, and stick around for the review!
Two years ago, Scarlet awoke in the forest alone, afraid, and unable to remember anything. Lost and confused, her life was a mystery...until she met a boy with a familiar voice.
Gabriel Archer has a voice from her past, and Scarlet's determined to remember why. She immerses herself in his life only to discover he has a brother he's kept hidden from her: Tristan Archer.
Upon meeting Tristan, Scarlet's world becomes even more muddled. While she's instinctively drawn to Gabriel, she's impossibly drawn to Tristan--and confused out of her mind. As she tries to piece together her history Scarlet realizes her past...might just be the death of her. –Quoted from Goodreads

I went into this expecting a love triangle, it’s mentioned in the blurb, it’s been talked about on Twitter and Facebook... But this has got to be the most awesome, tension filled, interesting, love triangle in the world.
Scarlet wakes up in the middle of a forest, having no memories and no family, what’s a girl to do? Flash forward two years, and Scarlet is prevailing. She’s been taken in by a business savvy single woman (who I believe is not so innocent as she seems) in the town of Avalon, just a stone’s throw away from where Scarlet woke up. She’s managed to find a super fun and quirky best friend—all for Scarlet is looking up.
Of course she can’t forget or rather she can’t remember what happened to her two years ago, and the mystery is never far from her mind. But together with her best friend, Heather, she’s learning to accept what is, and move on, living life to the fullest, which includes attending the towns yearly “Kissing Festival”
Right away we can see Mrs. Fine’s flare for the fun and unique! I mean a kissing festival? Does it get more original than that? I honestly hope that somewhere in the world this sort of festival really happens. Because the idea’s surrounding it, the thought out action from Mrs. Fine and well, the sheer fun of it has me loving the story right from the start.
But Scarlet doesn’t want to kiss. Attending the festival is like pulling teeth, but when it comes to adventure, and torture she’s on board until two very strange things happen. First Scarlet sees a mysterious shadowed figure—staring at her.
Chelsea Fine pulls out all the stops here, and the writing surrounding how this stranger staring at her makes Scarlet feel is amazing. The vividness is awesome and attention grabbing.
The next thing that happens, Scarlet meets a boy... a hot one at that. The two instantly connect, but not in that really cheesy sort of way.
Thus the love triangle is in full swing, the mysterious stranger who turns out to be Gabrielle’s brother, Tristan, Scarlet and Gabrielle himself.
The entire plot is quite original, the pacing is perfect and MY GOD the cliffhanger will have you at the edge of your seat, begging for the next instalment.
This is a real winner for Chelsea Fine, it’s the perfect romantic read, with interesting twists and turns, amazing, thought out writing and totally likeable characters.
Chelsea Fine made me a fan with Sophie & Carter, but she’s made me a die-hard groupy with Anew book one in the Archers of Avalon series.
Now, if anyone of you are awesome enough to leave a comment and show this review some love, I’ve got some super cool Anew Bookmarks I’d be happy to drop in the mail for you!
