Steamy Sunday: Jenn Nixon

Wow, it’s either very early, or very late—either way I just finished a great book, and that promptly reminded me that I have to tell you—my lovely blog followers—about a Series of great books!
Today, I’m doing my first ‘Steamy Sunday’. As we all know I am lover of Young Adult, but being an adult does make me very susceptible to the working of a more mature reading experience.
So, I thought and thanks to the lovely Jenn Nixon for being “my first” to have an occasional day where we can get down and dirty with steamy, spicy, perhaps naughty books of the adult variety.
I’d like to share with you a super fun, interesting and helpful interview by Jenn Nixon, where she talks a little bit about everything, including her new novel Trust Me, Tell Me, the third in a series of Romantic Suspense tales.
First, let’s get to know Trust Me, Tell Me. Check out this enticing cover, and the blurb? Can we say intriguing?

Mason Storm is set to marry Veronica Chance in seven days. When he receives a mysterious text message he immediately packs and leaves without saying a word to anyone. After meeting with his former boss, Mason knows his past has finally caught up with him. In order to clear his name of false charges he returns home to Boston ready to put the issues to bed. Veronica, however, isn’t making it easy. She’s determined to help despite his claims of being the only one to make things right. As the investigation intensifies, Mason is captured and Veronica holds the key to his release. Will she make it there in time to save him and their wedding or will everything fall apart. –Quoted from Goodreads.

Welcome Jenn! Can you tell us a bit about yourself? How about in five words or less.
Quirky tomboy geek.
Now why don’t you tell us a bit about Trust Me, Tell Me? In five words or less, of course J
Spicy romantic suspense.
Say you’re on the hunt for a man, right this second (it’s okay if are) what are three qualities you look for in a man?
Honest and easy going with a wicked sense of humor.
Can you think of any struggles that you’ve been forced to overcome since becoming an Author, if you don’t mind sharing what were they? And how did you overcome them?
I learned early not to take myself too seriously, build a thicker skin, and to remember there is always someone better (and sometimes luckier) than me out there. I’m not sure I’ve overcome them all fully as of yet, negative feedback always stings, but it’s one of those things a person needs to stay grounded and to grow.
Trust Me, Tell Me is part of a series, what’s the hardest part about writing a series?
The hardest part about series writing, for me, is continuity. With this particular series, events in the third book related to the first more so than the second. Since the first was already published when I wrote the third, I had to make sure all the details matched up.  Another hard aspect I’ve come across in other series’ I’ve been writing is making sure the characters are growing and changing. People will get bored it they don’t see the characters progressing over time.
Now of course, I’m going to have to ask, will we be seeing Mason and Veronica again?
I’m honestly not sure. I had an idea about going back to Mason’s early days because I really love writing about him but those would be completely different novels and probably not romance given what readers know about his history. I do love a challenge though. J However, if another Mason and Veronica story pops into my head, I’m sure I’ll work on it…who knows? I’m not the type to say never!
Lastly, where do you see yourself as an Author in five years?
Five years from now I would love to have an agent and a contract with one of the “big” publishers.
Thank you for having me!
 ~Jenn
